I bought it as backup for power cuts and it exceeded my expectations. Starts first time, surprisingly quiet for a petrol generator, and keeps the fridge, router and laptop running steadily. The USB ports are really handy for charging phones. With ECO mode, the tank lasts much longer than I expected. Highly recommended to keep at home.

Reliable power for home, work and outdoor use
The PowerSmart DB5035 is fitted with a 149 cc 4-stroke OHV engine, designed for efficient, long-lasting performance. It delivers up to 3600 W starting power and 3200 W continuous rated output — enough to run tools, essential appliances and leisure equipment with stable current, even during power cuts or demanding jobs.
More hours on a single tank
With a 5.0 L fuel tank, it can run for up to 10 hours at 50% load. ECO mode adjusts engine speed to match power demand, helping you save petrol and extend runtime.
Quiet enough for home and camping
Ideal for home, garden or outdoor trips: it runs at approximately 69 dB at 7 metres, so you can get on with things without excessive noise for you or those around you.
Safe power for laptops, phones and delicate equipment
Inverter technology produces a pure sine wave with low total harmonic distortion (THD), ideal for charging laptops, mobiles, tablets, CPAP machines and other electronics — without worrying about voltage spikes.
Light, practical and easy to move
It weighs just 23 kg and includes an ergonomic carry handle. It has two 230 V Type G plugs, the standard used across the UK, plus two 5 V USB ports for camping, site work, outdoor events or backup when the power goes out.
Built-in safety
Features overload protection, automatic low-oil shutdown and low-THD inverter technology to protect both the generator and connected devices.

Customer reviews
Took it camping last weekend and it worked brilliantly. At just 23 kg it fits easily in the boot, and the handle makes carrying straightforward. Powered the electric cool box, LED lights and charged everyone's phones without issue. Noise level is very acceptable — didn't bother the neighbours on the pitch. Excellent value for money.
I use it in the workshop for power tools and it has never let me down. The 3200 W rated output is more than enough for the saw and drill, even when used together. What I value most is the pure sine wave: I can connect measuring equipment without worrying about voltage spikes. The automatic low-oil shutdown gives real peace of mind. Very well built.
When I bought it I thought it wouldn't be enough, but I was completely wrong. Works really well and I use it in the caravan when there's no hook-up on site.
I'd buy it again without hesitation.
A lightweight, quiet generator. I used it for lights at a local craft market and we could talk without shouting. Started first time, no fuss. Runs on regular petrol and is easy to move — popped it in the van and off we went.
Bought it for family camping and it delivers: quiet, economical on petrol and provides stable power for the blender, speakers and phones. Not too heavy and fits easily in the boot. For anyone wanting reliable outdoor power without too much noise, it's an excellent choice.
I've used it several times during neighbourhood power cuts and it always delivers. Starts quickly, not too noisy and runs for hours on a full tank. A very sound purchase to have when the lights go out.
